COVID-19 Update

Every year we look forward to gathering the community to raise funds and learn more about youth homelessness at our annual Promise to Care: An Unsheltered Experience event. Because of the growing concerns around COVID-19, we recognize the need to be cautious and consider the health and safety of our community. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person component of Promise to Care.
Although the in-person event is cancelled, our team is working quickly to devise a plan for a virtual event at a rescheduled date and time. Amid these concerns, there is an even greater sense of urgency to continue to raise funds to support the thousands of young people that receive access to basic necessities through Promise House programs and services annually. We know the youth we serve are especially vulnerable given that they lack resources necessary for adequate healthcare and housing. We are counting on continued support from our generous community to help us provide them with the support needed.
We look forward to sharing the details of the virtual event soon. In the mean time, please visit www.promisetocaredallas.org for any additional updates.

While there is no way to replicate the hopelessness that 3,500 Dallas ISD students who are homeless or in unstable living situations experience every night, this event seeks to provide a greater understanding of the harsh realities that homeless youth face. We aim to educate the community about youth experiencing homelessness, inspire change and encourage action to end youth homelessness.
