Volunteering as a group can be a great corporate team-building opportunity, or a fun way to give back with family and friends. Below are just a few examples of group projects available at Promise House. Our volunteer coordinator will work with you to find the project that is just right for your group. To get started, a group leader must submit a Group Project Proposal Form indicating your interest in volunteering. Please email our Volunteer Coordinator for opportunities for families and groups with minors.
Activities with Teens
Host a movie night for residents of the Emergency Youth Shelter Program, teach the teen moms in the Wesley Inn Program how to cook an affordable and nutritious meal, or host a Field Day for the youth at Promise House. For more information about youth activities, please email our Volunteer Coordinator.
Sponsor a Meal
Promise House is open 24/7 365, and we have a ton of mouths to feed! Help us keep our kids’ bellies full and happy by sponsoring a meal at Promise House with your group! You can either have something delivered or make a meal onsite using our full kitchen. This is great to combine with one of the above activities with teens as well!
Host a Drive
Hosting a drive at your school, workplace or place of worship is a great way to benefit Promise House! For tips on how to organize a drive as well as the most up to date list of our needs, please contact our volunteer coordinator.
Holidays are always a great time for groups to volunteer with Promise House, on or off site. Help our teens celebrate the various holidays throughout the year like Valentine’s Day, Black History Month, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays. Holiday volunteer opportunities can range from hosting a holiday themed party, hosting a drive, or having a themed game or movie night based on the time of year. Please email our Volunteer Coordinator for more details.
