PROMISE HOUSE ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Promise House Board of Directors and staff are pleased to announce that Charles M. Wolford II has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Promise House. A veteran nonprofit executive and administrator, Wolford brings robust experience and infectious energy to Promise House as the organization continues growing to meet the needs of homeless youth in North Texas.

“We are very excited to have Charles as the next leader of Promise House,” said Promise House Board of Directors President, Chris McNeer. “Charles grew up in Dallas and brings 25 years of non-profit executive experience serving at-risk youth. He has a clear passion for serving our community and fulfilling Promise House’s mission. I can’t wait to see Charles put his ideas into action and take Promise House to the next level.”

Wolford has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit space serving disenfranchised populations battling poverty, homelessness, incarceration, untreated addictions and mental illness. Prior to joining Promise House, Wolford was the Executive Director for Mission Central. He also served as the Associate Pastor of Outreach and the Executive Director of the Turn Around Agenda, the social outreach arm of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. In that role, he oversaw the organization’s many programs including a public schools outreach program, a family care pregnancy center, human needs assistance, a technology and education institute, an athletic league, a summer camp, and a resale store.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as the CEO of Promise House and excited to work with the team to combat youth homelessness in our community,” said Wolford. “By intervening at such a critical point in a young person’s life, we can change the course of their future. Every youth deserves a safe and nurturing place to call home, and I am committed to helping Promise House achieve this goal.”
