Promise House partners with Lifetime and Willow Smith to advocate for homeless youth

Our signature fundraiser, Promise to Care: An Unsheltered Experience is coming up on March 7th at the Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. The event invites Dallas’s leaders to sleep outside for one night to raise awareness and funds for homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. Participants will spend the night on the Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge learning about the issues that homeless youth face and ways the community can help youth in crisis. If you are interested in participating, please visit www.promisetocaredallas.org

Willow Smith
Promise to Care will include a rare and special musical performance by Willow Smith. Willow is a singer, songwriter, fashion icon and talented actress. At only 18-years-old, she has been acknowledged for leaving her mark in Hollywood. She was a Chanel ambassador in 2016 and is currently the face of Maison Margiela’s “Mutiny” Fragrance Campaign and Stuart Weitzman’s spring 2019 Campaign.

Willow has also joined her mother, Jada, in her advocacy to end human trafficking in the United States. Together, they raise awareness through the organization Don’t Sell Bodies, founded by her mother. Currently Willow, along with her mother Jada and Grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, are hosting a family talk show on Facebook called Red Table Talk that tackles current social and cultural issues with an inter-generational perspective.
Lifetime + Regina Louise
Lifetime has partnered with Promise House to raise awareness of homeless youth by providing an exclusive screening of their new film “I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story.” “I Am Somebody’s Child” is based on author and motivational speaker Regina Louise’s experience navigating the foster care system in her youth.
Regina Louise will be the key note speaker for the event.
