Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program

Wesley Inn is a two-year housing program for up to 12 young, homeless mothers (ages 14-20) and their children (ages 0-5). The main goal is to provide pregnant and parenting teens with the resources they need to grow into healthy, independent adults fully capable of supporting themselves their families. During the first month of care, residents sign up for childcare, education, immunizations, counseling, and mainstream services, like food and clothing. Before the third month, residents are enrolled in school and/or working, up to date with doctor appointments, and attending weekly counseling sessions. Residents at Wesley Inn are connected with a case manager who works with them throughout the entire duration of the program and assists in developing behavioral and educational goals. No-cost services include:

  • Shelter (up to two years) and basic necessities like food and clothing
  • Medical and dental care
  • Childcare assistance
  • Pre and postnatal care
  • Parenting skill classes
  • Psychological assessments and mental health services
  • Counseling
  • Education assistance
  • Job aptitude evaluation and career planning services
  • Life skills training
  • Recreational opportunities
  • Assistance locating and leasing apartments
  • Case management
