Host a Drive
When we come together, we can accomplish so much. Gather your community to collect items and you can help support the kids who come through our shelter.
At Promise House, we believe that a small act of kindness can create big change. Although COVID-19 has changed the landscape of giving back, our volunteers remain an essential role in providing care, comfort, and opportunity to all of the young people we serve.
Due to COVID-19, Promise House is currently closed to visitors. However, there are still plenty of ways to support the children, teens, and young adults in our programs. We also encourage you to explore our urgent needs and shelter wish list.

Last year, more than 22,000 meals were served to the children and teens at Promise House. You can play a part and provide lunch or dinner to feed the 30+ youth and direct care staff in our emergency shelter.
The young adults in our Transitional Living Program are learning how to be independent, but often show up with no items of their own. You can create a Move-In Kit filled with Twin XL bed sheets, towels, hangers, rolling luggage, and kitchen items.
You can share a kind note or a word of wisdom by creating greeting cards for the young people in our shelter. Feel free to write, draw, sketch, or paint, while using words of positivity to motivate and inspire.
Our youth are always eager to learn. You can provide virtual Zoom courses for our kids Tuesday or Thursday evenings (dependent upon availability). Topics can range from career readiness, resume writing and critique, financial literacy, etc.
Our direct care staff is the heart and soul of Promise House! They are with our kids around the clock, providing case management and mentorship to help youth on the right path. You can send a note of encouragement to thank our staff for their hard work.
